Evaluation of AlcoholEdu: A Randomized Multi-Campus Trial
Principal Investigator: Mallie J. Paschall, Ph.D.

Colleges need effective universal prevention strategies to reach the substantial number of students who may be at risk for alcohol misuse and related harm. To address this need, a 2-3 hour online course known as AlcoholEdu has been developed for college freshmen. Approximately 140 colleges are now mandating AlcoholEdu for their incoming freshmen. This study is evaluating the effectiveness of AlcoholEdu using an experimental design. A randomized controlled study is being carried out at 30 colleges.
